26-06-2006 · Spira's Senior Perl Developers Engage Local Web Community
Two of our lead Perl (a programming language used extensively in back-end web software) developers run a regular development forum in and around Milton Keynes. The group is aimed at furthering the technology and therefore the opportunities that Perl offers in improving web development services. It's also very focussed on integrating emerging technologuies and trends in our marketplace.
The forum is called MiltonKeynes.pm and meets regularly at Spira's offices in MK . As our team here at Spira includes people who regularly contribute their skills to the worldwide Perl developers organisations (and are responsible for writing core Perl functionality) we feel that this contribution not only adds value to the wider Perl community but also offers the greatest advantage to our clients who gain from the benefit of our leading-edge expertise.
Last discussions covered:
- The Catalyst Web Framework
- Perl at the Sanger Centre
- Making an "Am I Hot or Not" for Rightmove
