We are looking for a highly capable and enthusiastic senior developer/team leader to join our growing team, with a proven track record working on corporate web sites and web applications.

Based in the relaxed atmosphere of our Milton Keynes offices, you will pick up our existing portfolio fast and help to develop our clients’ bespoke solutions in-line with their high expectations.

The role requires good technical skills, some management skills and initiative to ensure the effective planning and implementation of systems for high profile clients. The role also requires excellent client management skills to ensure good communication and to see deliverables completed to quality, specification and budget.

  • Be involved at a strategic level to champion all new product developments and to take responsibility for the development perspectives on all new product initiatives – the development team would grow to facilitate more R&D and an overseeing role
  • Combine skills to deliver industry-leading applications working as architect and principal development consultant
  • Operate as development manager taking responsibility for development staff progression, appraisals and reviews (as required)
  • Innovate, create and act as source of inspiration and support to a growing development team
  • Potentially participate in consultation work and exposure to client programs to grow personal skills and capabilities
  • Keep board and team aware of new technologies and trends for utilisation within our product developments

Job Description

Joining a dynamic team, in this role you will be responsible for delivering websites, online applications and e-learning solutions to a number of high profile clients.

You will focus on realising development projects from conception to deployment and beyond using ASP, ASP.NET (C#), SQL, T-SQL, XML, XSLT, JavaScript/DHTML, HTML and IIS. This role will require effective planning, client liaison, solving complex problems and learning/dealing with technically sophisticated systems.

  • Cross platform/browser JavaScript and DHTML
  • AJAX
  • Sound knowledge of HTML/CSS

Good problem solving and software design skills alongside the initiative to develop projects from specification to final completion and handover.

Good organisation, communication and team-working skills are essential.

To succeed as the Senior Web Developer you must have significant commercial web development experience using ASP.NET and SQL. You must also hold a 2:1 or above degree (or equivalent) in an IT related subject.

As a Senior Web Developer you must also have a good command of English, the ability to work to tight deadlines and experience of developing projects from conception to deployment.

You must also live within a commuting distance from north Milton Keynes, or be willing to relocate. All candidates shortlisted for interview sit a coding test in their first interview.
